Taxes & import duties on European manufactured product if send to Germany !!! totally unacceptable

I have ordered briefcase (Senior Togo for Euro K 1.2) to be shipped to Germany. Via email I was informed that I would have to pay taxes and import duties. PEGAI is from my understanding an Italian company, the briefcase in manufactured in Spain... but shipped from US ??? From my point of view totally unacceptable - viir a are they positioning PEGAI as Italian style, Spanish leather... and have the product only in US available ???

We completely understand your concerns regarding the taxes and import duties. To clarify, PEGAI is a US-based company, and while our products are now being crafted in Ubrique, Spain, we still handle operations from the US, which is why many of our products are shipped from there.

We’ve recently transitioned production from Turkey to Spain, and while we’re excited about this new chapter, we aren’t a Spanish/Italian company, which is why customs fees may apply.

Products may be shipped either from the US or our Spain workshop directly, subject to stock availability. You may reach out to us if you want to confirm the origin of your package and we can either push through with the shipping or have it cancelled (as long as the package hasn't shipped yet). This briefcase is of Hermes quality. The leather work is astonishing, as expected from the makers in Ubrique. I mean 100% perfection. There are however one primary and one secondary room for improvement: first, the zipper is kind of hard to open/close, which impacts the usability a fair bit. I have not sought the support for this - maybe it is a matter of greasing/oiling it? Second, there is the form of the briefcase. When used without something thick inside towards the top, the zipper and the soft leather lets the briefcase fold so the top becomes pointy upwards (visually it looks like the briefcase is thinner at the top than expected. This secondary room for improvement is probably easy to fix with something that stabilizes the leather at the top. In my personal case, I can live with it, so I am not seeking a solution. But it may be good to know before making a decision. If Pegai reads this, it would be great to get a message from support on how I can proceed to fix the zipper - it may be as easy as applying something to it or as hard as changing it. Thank you for a briefcase I will wear every business day until retirement!

NEVER RECEIVED ITEM.

I am disappointed in PEGAI. The Owner of PEGAI whose name is Volkan Yilmaz A/K/A Tanner Leatherstein needs to seriously get his affairs together. What kind of business are you running? I placed an order 56 days ago for a Togo Leather Briefcase and never received the item. Merchant has not provided confirmation of Shipment or a Tracking Number as of July 2, 2024. Totally unacceptable!

We recently shared some updates and posted a video about the shipping timeline for the items. Our team just finished crafting the briefcases in Ubrique, which were on pre-order. Initially, we mentioned late June as the shipping date, but due to some shipping issues, we've moved it to July 8th and 9th.

Rest assured, you'll receive a confirmation email with the tracking link for your package by then. However, if you prefer to cancel your order, we can certainly accommodate that as well. Not just a men’s bag

I have a lot of luxury handbags, including from the “famous luxury brand”, the Togo leather on this briefcase is better. It looks and feels way more expensive than it is, and the orange lining is something a little different. It’s definitely a masculine bag but it coordinates well with my work outfits too. I am also getting the ladies crossbody togo bag, but honestly I like the briefcase more! Very pleased, incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail.
